Rutgers University’s Korean Student Association [RU KSA] is a Korean interest group that serves as a voice for the Korean community at Rutgers. Though focused on Korean-American issues and causes, its board and membership are comprised of students of all backgrounds. As a political, cultural, and social organization RU KSA is committed to sharing the Korean heritage, promoting awareness about Korean-American issues, reaching out to the community, and hosting events through which students may meet and interact. To achieve these goals, the staff holds staple events each year including the Freshmen Orientation, an annual Charity Event, Korean Culture Night, and KSA Semiformal along with other events that vary each year. The Korean Student Association acts as the umbrella group for the rest of the K-groups at Rutgers and is affiliated with the Asian Student Council and the AACC. RU KSA also branches out to other KSA’s throughout the nation, particularly in the tri-state area, in order to best serve the Korean-American community at Rutgers University.
